Jewellery Workshop FAQs

The workshops take place in the Musa Mundi studio in the neighbourhood of Sant Antoni, Barcelona. The studio is a creative refuge filled with charming old jewellery machinery, quality tools and a range jewellery books to excite and inspire.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, you can expect a welcoming cup of tea, a good playlist to get that creative flow going and lots of inspiring chatter about our innate need for craft.

Lyd has attended jewellery courses in Barcelona, Florence, London and around the world. For her, there’s nothing more disappointing than being stoked for a course and then being ushered in an out and not getting a chance to have your questions answered. It’s very important to Lyd that you feel accompanied on your learning journey and your needs are met. The courses are very intimate and carried out with love and enthusiasm.

Everything you need in terms of metal, tools, wax etc is provided on the course. You could bring a notebook if you want to take notes.
We recommend you wear comfortable clothes with natural fibres. Remember you’re coming to a workshop with metal dust, machine oil and tools which can snag your clothes. -
Apart from keeping a craft alive and learning a skill for life, you’ll also come away creatively inspired having given yourself some time to connect with your inner artist.
Humans are innately creative and we live in a society which is not very supportive of creative endeavours. You’ll see though, how good it feels to work with your hands and make a treasure of your own. It’s a very fulfilling experience.
